Clove Bud essential oil has an aroma that is powerful, sweet-spicy,
and hot, with fruity top notes. Cloves and nutmeg were among the
most precious of items of Europe of the 16th and 17th centuries,
and they were worth more than their weight in gold. Clove has been
used as an antiseptic, pain-reliever and antifungal.
Clove Bud oil can cause sensitization in some and should be used
only in dilution. It should also be avoided during pregnancy.
